Ulsan, a city that embraces the heavenly ocean view!
Ulsan is located in the exact center of Korea's East Sea and South Sea. Due to these regional characteristics, many large-scale factory complexes have been built, making it a leading industrial city in Korea. Despite being an urbanized city, it is also famous for its excellent natural environment. Taehwa River National Garden is one of the only two national gardens in Korea and is a treasure trove of the ecosystem and the pride of Ulsan. Daewangam Park is the first place where the sun rises in Korea and is one of the most popular sunrise spots for travelers. Take a trip to Ulsan and feel nature with your whole body.

1. Taehwagang National Garden (태화강 국가정원)
Introduction
The Taehwa River flows through the center of Ulsan into Ulsan Bay and connects to the East Sea. The basin, which extends 36 km from east to west and 28 km from north to south, consists mostly of mountainous terrain, but has fertile land on both sides of the river and at the southern end of the river. Currently, this river is an important source of drinking water for Ulsan citizens.
The fields around the midpoint of the Taehwa River, which had been neglected for a long time, were created as the Taehwa River National Garden to preserve nature and provide a resting place for Ulsan citizens. The garden is more than twice the size of Yeouido Park in Seoul and consists of natural water, a dense bamboo forest known as Simnidae Forest, a rape flower field, and a forage barley field. Simidae Forest was once at risk of demolition as part of the government's flood control plan, but is being preserved thanks to community efforts. Thanks to conservation efforts, it became the current Taehwa River National Garden, and in 2019, it was designated as the second national garden in Korea.

The 1km-long beach is over 40m wide and can accommodate more than 50,000 people a day, making it crowded with vacationers from all over the country.
It is a great place for an outing with the family, with beautiful islands, pine forests, and shallow seas. In addition, Jinha Beach is a 20-minute drive from Ulsan and 40 minutes from Busan, making it the beach boasting the cleanest water in Korea. The beach and the area around Ganjeolgot Lighthouse are also popular fishing spots, so there is a constant flow of tourists on weekends throughout the year.
Also near Jinha Beach is Myeongseong Bridge, a popular nighttime attraction in Ulsan. At night, the lights on the bridge and nearby streets are bright and beautiful, decorating the night sea.
